The 2006–2007 season for Futbol Club Barcelona was generally considered unsatisfactory in almost all competitions. Although the team managed to win the Supercopa de España and finished second in the domestic league, much more was expected of the team that had been European champions. The season began with the team's defeat in the 2006 FIFA Club World Cup final in late 2006 and the team did not fare well in 2007.
